What is Third Eye Colonoscopy???


A colonoscopy is an examination of your large intestine, or colon. Traditional colonoscopy is an outpatient procedure that helps to evaluate and even treat many problems like abdominal pain and rectal bleeding. While, Third Eye colonoscopy procedure allows seeing behind the folds of the colon with a tiny camera, which detects adenomas behind the folds in the colon wall. It also helps determine colorectal cancer in advance which is a change in bowel habits followed by constipation, diarrhea or narrowing of stool. Anyone can have this problem but if it seem to persist more than few days its time for you to go visit your doctor. Major noticeable signs and symptoms will be unexpected weight loss, anemia, rectal bleeding, tiredness, not feeling empty after bowel movement etc. This signs and symptoms can also occur because of infections, hemorrhoids, irritable bowel syndrome or inflammatory bowel syndrome not just colorectal cancer.











What to do when preparing for exam?
Follow the simple instructions given by your doctor when scheduled which may take anywhere from one to three days for the preparation of colonoscopy. The following steps need to be taken into consideration;
-           No eating or drinking after the night before the exam
-            Laxatives following “split prep”
-            Special liquid diet limited to water, tea, and coffee without milk or cream, broth, carbonated beverages, and juice

However, discussing any medical conditions like high blood pressure, or heart problems, diabetic conditions etc are strictly recommended.

What to do after the exam is done?
Again, follow the list of instructions given by the doctor after the test, which takes anywhere from couple hours to a day. Usually, people are able to get back to their daily routines in a span of a day.

    Thanks, for sharing such great post. Colonoscopy is the endoscopic examination of the large bowel and the distal part of the small bowel with a CCD camera or a fiber optic camera on a flexible tube passed through the anus.
